CYBER Bingo!

Cyber Bingo

It seems like everything is getting the word cyber put in front of it nowadays, but bingo, the game you used to play at camp or church, what can be cyber about bingo?

The answer is everything, all the way across the
B-I-N-G-O.

Cyber bingo started with electronics in the bingo hall. Electronic bingo cards and electronic bingo games not only became a new way to play the game, they became the standard. Reports show that 70% of bingo hall players are now using electronic games. With electronic bingo the game can be played at a quicker pace and the player can play multiple games without going cross-eyed. It gives the average player a better chance to win and allows the accustomed bingo players more chances to play without losing any of the excitement.

But more games and more players ended up providing cyber bingo with its first problem: how can a bingo hall with limited space and funding provide electronic bingo games for all the people that want to play them? The truth is that they can’t. The average bingo hall doesn’t have the capacity to be filled with electronic equipment, nor does it have the means to keep up with electronic advancement.

That’s the beauty of throwing the word cyber in front of a word like bingo. The technological world we live in is not trying to leave people behind, but bring them along, even bingo players. Everybody wants to play cyber bingo, but everybody can’t get into a bingo hall, so what do we do? Give up and go back to spinning beans in a barrel? No, we find a place where everybody can play cyber bingo. Where is this magical place with out seating restrictions, this bingo room whose tables stretch into eternity, this imaginary cyber bingo hall that never ends? Where else would it be but cyber space.

That’s right, the Internet, online bingo, virtual reality, your own bingo card on your computer screen. Now cyber bingo makes complete sense. Think about the number of people that can be linked into a bingo tournament through the Internet. If you have a computer with online capabilities you have a seat in this bingo room. Forget the hundred people who play bingo at your church; forget the thousand that play at the casino’s bingo hall; with cyber bingo were talking tens of thousand, possibly even millions of people, all able to sit down to the same game without worrying about elbow space or fire restrictions.

Online bingo is not here to destroy the classic game. It’s here to allow everybody to play, whenever they want. Cyber bingo has no hours, no space restrictions. There are already over 100 online bingo websites, a number that has been doubling consistently yearly. In the next two years reports say that 1% of the land bingo market will move online. That’s 1% of a reported 1.6 billion people that call bingo their favorite form of entertainment. And cyber bingo is here to accommodate them all.

Model Says Winnings Were From Bingo

When her parents asked, stunning Swedish model Victoria Silvstedt claimed that she had won a television set at a local bingo game when she was just 16-years-old. How did Silvstedt really win the television? Well, it wasn't online bingo either. She entered a contest at a local pub and beat out ten other all male competitors in a fake orgasm contest.

Party B-I-N-G-O

Looking for a great way to liven up your next party? Well, how about a game you may have forgotten about: B-I-N-G-O!

Stop! I know what you’re thinking because that’s my job. You’re thinking one of two things. You’re either thinking, party bingo, why would I play party bingo when I can play real bingo online or at my local bingo hall? Or you’re thinking, party bingo, that’s about the lamest idea I’ve ever heard. Well, you’re not wrong in either thought, but you obviously haven’t seen the true potential of party bingo that I have.

For the avid bingo player it may just not be worth your time. You already have places to play bingo, and you want to be a bingo player, not a bingo caller. But I guarantee you have a friend who has some weird dream about one day getting to be a bingo caller. There’s one in every bingo hall. Just get them to do the calling duties for the night and enjoy the bingo. Still, you’re not going to organize a bingo party just so your friend Jim can live out his lifelong fantasy of being a bingo caller. So then why do it? I’ll tell you why. I have a bingo party about once a month. 20 of my closest friends come over and we have the most fun we’ve ever had playing bingo. Some of them are avid bingo players, some of them play every once in a while like me, and others never played the game until my first party. It’s just so relaxing to be able to play a bingo game without worrying about money or being quiet. The best party about party bingo is being in a small room full of people you love, everybody’s talking and you may not even here the number being called, but you know the caller and he’s not afraid to repeat it.

And for those of you who think bingo’s just some lame game that old people play, you’ve obviously never played drinking party bingo. I’m not sure my friends and I invented this game, but we’ve definitely come up with some interesting wrinkles, and not the kind you’d find on an old bingo players face. Of course you have to start off the bingo game with a group toast for the free space, and you have to take a sip whenever you get a number on your bingo card. If you get O-69 then you have to chug your drink. The bingo winner gets to give out a predetermined number of drinks: the bingo jackpot.

Whether you’re just looking to play some free bingo with a couple of your friends, or whether you’re looking to get completely wasted and yell bingo every once in a while, party bingo is the way to do. Throw a party, play some bingo, have some fun.

Bingo Halls

If you’ve never been to one of the Bingo Halls where live Bingo is being played, you’ve missed out on some real excitement. Some people have the idea that Bingo Halls are filled with elderly people who listen intently to the caller, play a half dozen Bingo cards at a time and sit quietly waiting long moments for the next number to be called. The reality at most Bingo Halls is nothing like that.

First and foremost, Bingo Halls are a place for friends to meet, greet and challenge their luck for the evening. You may go to the Bingo Halls in your area or travel across the state (or country?) to visit other Bingo Halls with friends and family. There’s no doubt that some pals just love to hit new Bingo Halls and make those excursions into fun outings that may even last a couple of days or more.

But if you don’t have any friends who want to go to the Bingo Halls with you, don’t worry. Bingo Halls are notorious for friendship opportunities. The people who sit next to you will likely usher you into their group. All you have to be is a Bingo enthusiast who’s willing to share the banter that typically goes with the game.

Bingo Halls have seen some dramatic changes over the past decade or so. There was a time when Bingo had a very narrow definition. It was played with paper Bingo cards and a real person called the numbers. Today, many Bingo Halls have electronic Bingo games. That means you can play entirely at your own pace, if that’s what you want.

While technology has touched many Bingo games, there’s still something about the excitement of the traditional Bingo Halls. Find one in your area, grab your luckiest rabbit foot and head on over for an evening of fun. Just don’t forget to yell it out when you finally “Bingo!”
