MTV to Launch New Bingo Website

Since bingo went on the internet the online version of the game has attracted a new tech savvy generation of players. Most younger people are well versed in the use of the internet. They routinely use the internet to research schoolwork and most use social media websites to connect with friends and online acquaintances.  Internet bingo offers younger players the fast paced action they are fond of and many gamers play bingo online often. Younger people are also fond of mobile devices such as cell phones and smart phones. Since these mobile devices offer internet access online bingo can now be played on most mobile devices anywhere. Mobile access has increased the popularity of bingo among younger players.

Most younger bingo players and even some middle aged players are familiar with MTV which is a popular music video television channel. MTV is known to young pop music fans around the world and at any given time millions of music fans are tuned into MTV. Recently MTV announced that they are going to launch an MTV branded bingo site in the UK and Ireland. MTV has made a deal with gaming giant 888’s b2b division and well known bingo provider Dragonfish. The new bingo sites will be called ‘Up Your Bingo’ and will be marketed on the MTV and VIVA networks and their websites. The managing director of Dragonfish Gigi Levy stated, “[W]e wish to form partnerships with market leaders from other business sectors seeking to monetize their assets. MTV Networks is an internationally renowned brand, and we are proud to launch their first entry into online gaming.”

Obviously MTV bingo games will be targeted towards a younger audience and the MTV site is expected to offer contemporary music and graphics designed to appeal to the MTV crowd. At present there is no information available about what kind of player perks and incentives they will offer or whether they will accept US players.
